The LRJ Foundation Supports World Suicide Prevention Day with Wear Yellow Campaign September 9

Schools around Northeastern Pennsylvania will be participating in Wear Yellow Day on Friday, September 9, locally spearheaded by the LRJ Foundation. The campaign is meant to bring awareness to World Suicide Prevention Day which is September 10.

“There are over 25 local school districts, businesses and organizations participating in Wear Yellow Day,” said Teressa Stann, Executive Director. “This day has really grown and because of it, so many more people, students, parents and teachers are informed which is the purpose of our organization.” She continued, “Money raised from Wear Yellow Day helps us to provide programming on educational topics of mental health issues.”

Schools and other groups looking to participate in Wear Yellow Day should email the LRJ Foundation by clicking here. Those taking part are encouraged but not required to donate $1 in order to “wear yellow”.
